Open Front Horse Stable Design – Timber Look  

The low open front horse stable design maintains an open and airy feel to the overall horse stable build. Which in this case has made the horses feel more relaxed whilst being stabled prior to a competition. The low front stable design also allows for more interaction between you and the horses from outside the stable box.

This set of stables was built in Mittagong located within the Southern Highlands of NSW. The new horse stables were installed inside a custom built shed (an old shed with a very clever extension). With room for a large tack room with access to horse float parking as well as a wash bay, additional storage and 6 x 4000mm x 4000mm stables.

The stable panels were low front design with swinging doors. The dividing stable panel, with boards and bars so the horses could see each other at all times. With full height PE Board stable panels that line the shed walls to protect the horses legs if they were to kick out at the colourbond.

All stable panels are fully welded and hot galvanised dipped to protect the steel from corrosion. We use round bars that are safely spaced to deflect the energy of a horses kick and prevent penetration and a leg getting caught. We also use a custom steel profile to minimise the use of screws in the stables, meaning there is none to come loose overtime that may get lost in the stable bedding.  The stable infill of choice is Recycled PE Board, which not only environmentally friendly but is impervious to pests, diseases and will not rot or deteriorate.
